Happy to report that my turn as Gisele Durand on Madame Secretary got some great feedback. I worked hard to learn French, so I was happy for the opportunity to use the accent. Since Gisele had been recently released from being held captive by terrorists for the last 6 months, they wanted me very 'au naturel' and put zero makeup on me. It was actually freeing to just leave the ego in the trailer and lean into the gaunt, depleted character I got to play. The episode, "Loophole", aired on November 12, 2017 and can be seen streaming on CBS.com.
